There was a time when people used to think that only journalists and digital marketers must have excellent writing skills. But now, thanks to the growing importance of communication, you require effective writing skills in almost every industry and for every job.
Don’t you agree? Think of the reports, sales proposals, marketing copies, user manuals presentations you have to draft regularly as a part of your work responsibilities. And, of course the very first step to applying for a job: a resume or CV.
Once you start work, every day at the office starts with writing as we are required to send emails to peers, managers, and clients. And that’s when your writing skills come in handy. Today let’s talk about a platform that will help you in building your writing skills.
How about a space for writers, just like we have Instagram for photos? Well, that’s exactly what the founders of Profound Writers (PW) thought as they started PW. Ever since mobile phones have taken over, one’s writing hobby has been put at bay.
Avid blogs have turned dormant. Very few platforms offer great design, brevity of text on mobile and stunning visuals together. . It gives writers an avenue to broadcast their writings as beautiful images rather than plain text on the go
PW is a platform spread across different Medias. This is a government registered writers community and a great platform for armature writers to begin their journey to be pro at writing.
I believe that PW is a great platform to learn and develop writing skills on the go. We all know that writing is an art of expressing views, ideas, and thoughts. Most of the people think that writing is easy, but most of the times it results in unorganized and scattered pieces of information on paper. This often creates confusion or sends a wrong message.
Effective writing can be a daunting task as it demands much more than mere correct grammar. You need to gain knowledge about sentence structure, develop your vocabulary, and build other basic writing skills. PW as a community and platform for writers is all you need to join in order to learn and grow as a writer and improve your writing skills.
It is not necessary to be a writer to join the PW writing community. Anyone who has time to dedicate and the willingness to learn and improve can join the PW community.
This community works on a simple formula. Based on the timing that you are comfortable the team will give you options of groups that you can join on whatsapp. Once you join the group all you have to do is write on the given background and given topic for the day.
Once you write you can post in the group and the volunteers will guide you and point out your mistakes so that you can correct and re send the work.
I’ve been on many other platforms and communities for writers and among all I find PW different because in most of the platforms you can post whenever and whatever you want and that leads to just accumulation of different posts and no knowledge or information exchange takes place.
In PW you have fixed timings for each group to be open so that one can post. Not only do you get to post your write-ups you also get useful tips and interesting facts knowledge and also they provide you with daily vocabulary enhancement. All of the tips and information are not only in English but in different regional languages.
Not only daily writing, PW also organizes a lot of events and contests for writers. In order to join the competitions it is not necessary that you are a member of any of the PW daily writing groups.
PW is a community for the writers and by the writers. I strongly believe that we need more such platforms and community for writers so that more and more youngsters can be guided and we can have a good and big community of writers.

I’m thinking about setting up my own but I’m not sure where to start.

I do accept as true with
all of the ideas you have offered for your post.
They are very convincing and will certainly
work.
Still, the posts are too quick
for novices. May
just you please lengthen them a little from next time?
Thanks for the post.
